It is not enough to simply choose a mug and add your business details. Your mug wants to be a creation of ideas combined to ‘thrill’ the recipient whilst at the same time serving the purpose for which it was intended, advertising your business.

Consider your target market and consider the various types of materials available in which your mug can be manufactured. If your business is considered ‘macho’ in its nature, then you will probably want to choose from the large range of ceramics available. A more ‘feminine’ target market may well be pleased with a bone china mug, the choice is yours, you know your market, make it wisely. If you are targeting a company’s sales force, on the road to promote your products, a travelling mug would be much more appropriate and durable. These can be made from stainless steel or plastic and your details can still be imprinted.

Promotional mugs are not just used as tools of business; some people like to give them as Christmas gifts. They can be attractively boxed and even personalised with a photograph of the recipient.
