Glossy catalogues selling promotional products, business gifts, promotional items and corporate gifts have
for the last 25 years been an essential part of the corporate gift business. Now though with concerns about
the environment making news headlines throughout the world YesGifts is proud to be probably the first business
in the sector to take active steps to significantly reduce its carbon footprint. As an example, a typical 100
page promotional products, business gifts, promotional items and corporate gifts catalogue will be printed using
five tonnes of paper, which was created using 850 trees. Furthermore it takes 13.5Gj of energy to make one tonne
of paper . This is the equivalent of using 552 litres of heavy crude oil. By making a decision to market our products
over the internet and dispense with catalogue production in 2001 we have by now saved over 5000 trees and the equivalent
of 3312 litres of heavy crude oil.
Now YesGifts guarantees its promotional products, business gifts, promotional items and corporate gifts customers to
communicate primarily over the internet and via email, avoiding all use of paper, petrol (for onsite visits etc) printing
inks, postage (envelopes & parcels). In addition we have an internal policy of sending emails instead of distributing printed
documents, avoid excessive packaging, minimise printing and use double sided copying wherever possible, use unwanted printouts
for notepaper, phone messages and for printing draft copies.
It is also our policy wherever possible to source from manufacturers with environmental policies similar to our own and
using sustainable materials, utilising energy in an efficient way. YesGifts suppliers of promotional products, business
gifts, promotional items and corporate gifts is proud to be at the vanguard of the gift sector in environmental
responsibility. To test out your companies carbon footprint
